I started my career in 2004 in Georgia, where I studied web design, graphic design, and computer science. I discovered at an early age I loved art and design and have been pursuing it ever since. Building websites, logos and graphics is my passion.
I used to hand-code all websites when I started designing. When WordPress arrived I dismissed it, but now, I exclusively design in WordPress.
We always follow specific steps when we’re working on a design project. This allows us to make sure we have all information to give our clients exactly what they want and to make sure the website functions as the client needs while still looking fantastic.
This is the most important step in the website process. While talking to clients we get to know them and the business. Once all the info is collected then we start wire-framing the site layout in Adobe XD. After the layout is approved we move to designing.
Design is the second step and part of the wire-framing. This is where we take the wire-frame in Adobe XD and start adding in visual elements, where all the colors, fonts, and images are chosen. we usually design 3 to 4 versions of the home page and present them for feedback or approval. Once a design is chosen then we wire-frame each page in the site and present the entire site for approval. Once approved, we move on to Development.
Development simply means the main non-design aspects of building websites. Or in laymen’s terms, we start building the site on a local web server. This is where we ad functionality, animations, and other design elements that will make your site come alive.
Once the site is completed, quality controlled and tested the site will be presented via a link to the client for changes and or approval. Once approved the site is uploaded to their web server and goes live.
My grandfather and mother were both professional artists and at an early age, they taught me the skills that have led to a life long love of art and design.
As a young man, I also discovered I had a natural talent for coding and my persistence led to a career in web development.
I combined my love of art with web development together and learned web design and graphic arts as well as computer science. Creating new and exciting websites with the most up to date software drives me to push myself to grow.
I love what I do and I love always learning new techniques in web design and web development.
